Bringing hope to those with breast cancer.

General Mills asked Olson to deliver an idea that would firmly establish Yoplait’s commitment to those fighting breast cancer, and that could win a Cannes Lion. The most open brief you could imagine. But, also the most challenging. Rather than deliver an advertising campaign, we decided to do something truly revolutionary - create a non-profit to connect survivors with the newly diagnosed. We started with a name and brand identity, then worked our way up from there.

The Firefly Sisterhood launched on Mother’s Day, 2014 and continues to serve women with breast cancer today. By last count, over 1600 women diagnosed with breast cancer have been connected with Firefly Sisters to help them continue their fight.

I have done a lot in my time. But nothing as rewarding as helping create The Firefly Sisterhood.
